At the East end of the Grand Canyon, Arizona are the Palisades of the Desert, the cliffs seen here on the right. Summer monsoons are doing their work to erode and sculpt the canyon while the Colorado River, muddied by the storm, having carved the Grand Canyon millions of years ago, is still at work today.
