My Harley in the desert at the First Water Trailhead on the north side of Superstition Mountain in Apache Junction, Arizona. A simplified hard edged graphic translation of the desert landscape in oils.

Since Jan. 2012, I've been teaching my techniques to paint in oils, as well as acrylics. This has been the most rewarding experience of my life, passing on my knowledge to others! I'm a self taught painter (for 40+ yrs) who adores the expansive landscapes of the Southwestern United States, the reflective waters of Lake Powell, the tender desert cactus flowers, and the glorious monsoon cloud formations. I'm drawn to the Four Corners area year after year to enjoy the canyons and buttes unique to the SW. With my father's love of photography influencing me as a child, I tend to paint...
