Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The Tricocereus Cacti are among the special plants of the desert that bloom at night, when bats pollinate them. If you are up at dawn you may get to enjoy this large beauty very briefly, until the sun's touch causes them to wilt and die. I've painted the little appreciated back side of this gem with it's delicate petals lit up by the first rays of the sun.
