Before the winter rains hit the Sonoran Desert, it appears a golden hue, very dry from the long summer heat. The Superstition Mountain has had many tales told, of the un-found Lost Dutchman's gold. People still seek the treasure, hoping to get rich on the stores supposedly hidden near the Weaver's Needle on the north side of the mountain.

Since Jan. 2012, I've been teaching my techniques to paint in oils, as well as acrylics. This has been the most rewarding experience of my life, passing on my knowledge to others! I'm a self taught painter (for 40+ yrs) who adores the expansive landscapes of the Southwestern United States, the reflective waters of Lake Powell, the tender desert cactus flowers, and the glorious monsoon cloud formations.
