Description
A Tricocereus cactus flower that blooms only once, at night for the bats to pollinate. If you are up at dawn, the blooms can be seen in the early hours of the day. Sadly, when the sun touches their delicate petals, they wilt and die. The sun shining through the back of the flower gives a wonderful view of the transparency of the petals.

This one just takes my breathe away. I do watercolor too, but not nearly like this. I do know enough to appreciate how difficult it is to achieve the very darkest color against the white....and without streaks, but so perfectly toned. Bravo. And congrats on this sale, Cheryl!!! F/L
