A winter with abundant rainfall produced many buds on the Saguaro Cactus that spring, the state flower of Arizona. They can grow for hundreds of years and reach heights of 50 feet or more. A very majestic plant of the Sonoran Desert that has small modest waxy flowers. I finished this painting around Valentine's Day. If you look close, you can see the hidden hearts at the base of the buds.
